I have put down a deposit on my first Munchkin cat. She is a little short-legged tortie doll. My friend raises them and has been helping my daughter to get started. This little girl is coming from RugRunners Munchkins. My daughter has started her own web site for the Munchkins. See the link for Dachskatze on my links page. The little blue point standard Munchkin will also join us in June, along with this non-standard chocolate pointed male. They are from Boji Baloo in Iowa.
I am not giving up my ocis. But there is just something about these little shortlegged cats that will win your heart.

Saturday, May 3 we showed in CFA in York, PA. Lizzi earned her CFA championship. My friend Lori Uhl showed her altered ocicat in Premiership today and earned her winners ribbons for her cat to champion. Nestle was one of my kittens 2 years ago. AbbysAngels Nestle Be Quik is pictured on my past kittens page. Kate's HHP pet cat Sophie earned 6 rosettes- 5 second place and 1 firth place in household pet division.
On May 3 and 4th, Russ Haller showed one of my kittens, who now belongs to Karen Hess, at the CFA show in New Hampshire. The kitten is a little tawny, AbbysAngels Inkspots of Walnut Hollow. She finalled 3 times. She took 5th and 9th best specialty, and 8th best Allbreed. Inkspots also won the People's choice award for best shorthaired kitten. Apparently little Inkspots has quite the personality for the show hall. Inkspots is out of AbbysAngels Cinnamon Spotted Jeans and CH Chisholm Trl Dancin w/Angels Bluboy.
February 1 and 2nd show- Lizzi earned 1 final- tenth best short haired cat. She has earned her TICA championship. Lizzi got to show thanks to our good friends at Rug Runners Munchkins. My daughter had to have an emergency appendectomy and Sherry offerred to take Lizzi and Kate's little HHP cat and show them for us. I am extremely thankful to Sherry and her daughters for helping us. Kate's little Sophie earned 6 finals as a household pet. Way to go Sophie!
AbbysAngels Lizzi's Lil Wild Thing got a tenth best kitten of 94 shorthair specialties. We were really pleased.
My daughter, Kate, showed Lizzi for the first time in junior showmanship as a novice. Kate won first place. She and Lizzi won a ribbon.

Lucky was 8th best Allbreed cat out of 6, second best Shorthair Specialty out of 37 on Saturday, and Best Cat in SH Specialty out of 36 cats on Sunday. Both of these boys were born and raised in my cattery.
Our kittens are born and raised in my cattery at my home. They are healthy, happy, and spoiled. All kittens are vet checked, given first two vaccines, and wormed age appropriately before they leave my home. You will receive a record of all medical care with dates treated. You will also receive a written health guarantee for 1 year for any genetic health problems.
Kittens can not leave until 12 weeks of age. No exceptions. All kittens must be picked up. I do not ship except for a very few exceptions involving older cats.
I am currently showing Ocicats in CFA and TICA.
I only get to attend shows that come close enough for me to get to in a reasonable distance and amount of time driving. I have spinal injuries and my son is autistic so I can't travel far. However, My daughter and I are enjoying the sport. We are meeting some nice people with some lovely cats.
I have had a few kittens leave and have their diet's changed and they have had skin problems that the vet can not diagnose. Cats can get numerous skin problems and many are caused from allergies to the grains in dry foods. I believe that Dr. Elizabeth Hodgkins (feline only vet in CA)also says that the biggest majority of cats are allergic to fish. The foods that you think are really good (and are really expensive) are not always good for them. I have mostly had this issue with abys. It has taken me a lot of trial and error to come up with my cats diet and none of them have skin issues on what they are eating.
Some also had awful skin issues with that Swheat litter made from wheat.
None of my cats ever go outside. There are too many parasites and diseases that can be brought into a cattery and into a home. As pet owners, you will make your own choices. Just be aware of the dangers to the cat. My vet does not recommend that purebred cats be vaccinated for feline leukemia as there is a risk of some type of cancer from the vaccine. However, if your cat goes outside, you will need to vaccinate him/her for this as it is a highly contagious disease and a fatal one. Some people have misunderstood what I have said about the vaccines. It is not that I do not vaccinate at all. My cats and kittens get the regular cat vaccines and rabies in accordance with state law.
My adult cats have all been tested for feline leukemia- most before they came here and some after. They are negative. I will love seeing my kittens be part of your families.
